Do solicitors need PSRAS accreditation?
Not usually. As a solicitor, you need the Police Station Qualification to advise clients in custody under legal aid (you can take PSRAS instead, but it’s built for reps who aren’t solicitors). To take duty work, you must also be an accredited duty solicitor on the duty scheme.
